Demorest, GA -- For the fourth consecutive time the Piedmont College women's soccer team left the pitch with a victory, this afternoon at the hands of visiting Huntingdon College at Walker Field by the score of 7-1. The Lady Lions exploded for five goals within the first 30 minutes of action en route to the win.

With a balanced scoring attack that saw five different players record goals senior Casey Lovelady found the net first with a goal at the 8:00 minute mark off a pass from Justine Clay. Junior Katie Porter found the net twice in the next nine minutes, the first marking the eventual game-winner.

After two more goals before intermission freshman Brielle Cobb beat the keeper twice off passes from Sara Lindsley and Katherine Metz respectively. In addition to scoring once Clay led the offense with three assists.

For the match the Lady Lions connected on 23 shots on goal and created nine corner kicks. Due to the unbalanced schedule the victory over Great South Athletic Conference member counted as a non-conference south region victory.

PC, now 4-0 overall, will open conference play on Wednesday, September 16th as they travel to Spelman College in Atlanta, GA for a 4:00 kick-off.
