Colorado Springs, CO -- In the second and final game of the Colorado College Tip-Off Classic the Piedmont College women's basketball team fell to the tournament host by the score of 88-74. The Lady Lions were outscored 48-31 in the first frame en route to the team's second loss of the season.
Despite shooting 24-54 (44%) from the floor, the Lady Lions committed 29 turnovers, 16 of which came off of steals. CC used a well-balanced offensive attack that featured points from 11 different players, three of which reached double figures.
Both teams converted 24 points from the charity stripe while the Tigers held the edge in rebounds 47-37, 18 of which came on the offensive glass.
Newcomer
Alyssa Jones led Piedmont with a game high 26 points and was voted to the All-Tournament team for her efforts.
Amber Satterfield and
Lindsey Logan also reached double figures with 11 points respectively.
The Lady Lions now stand at 0-2 overall and will return to action again on Saturday, November 28th as they travel to Danville, VA to take on USA-South foe Averett University beginning at 2:00.
