Men's Basketball Team Runs Past Huntingdon 96-77

In front of a capacity crowd in PC's Cave Arena, the senior class for the Piedmont College men's basketball team was impressive and led the Lions to a 96-77 victory over visiting Great South Athletic Conference foe Huntingdon College. The defending GSAC champions were no match for the outside shooting of PC, led by seniors Mike Adams, Drew Bailey and Tyler Whitlock who combined for 43 points and nine three-pointers.

After trailing 13-7 early the Lions took the lead for good at 21-20 with nine minutes to go in the first half. PC then proceeded to go on a 24-15 run to end the first half. The Lions came out red hot in the second half connecting on 11-13 shots from the field, good for a 16-2 run and a 61-39 lead. The Lions led by as many as 24 before cruising to the 19-point victory.

Adams led four Lions in double-figures with a game-high 23 points. Jake Baldwin chipped in with 17 points while Branden Mayweather and Tyler Whitlock added 15 and 14 points respectively. Cole Hairston led four Hawks in double-figures with a team-high 14 points.
