MC erupted out of the gates to a 19-6 lead and then followed that with a 24-4 spurt to take command at 43-10 midway into the first half. The hosts, who hit nine three-pointers and shot a blistering 65% from the field in the first half, took a 55-26 advantage to the locker room.
The Lady Lions were forced into 25 turnovers and were not able to connect on a single three-point attempt (0-12) the entire contest. The loss ended a four-game winning streak for the Lady Lions.
