Piedmont College Powers Past Toccoa Falls 93-75

After jumping out to a 10-0 lead the Piedmont College women's basketball team never looked back and defeated local non-conference rival Toccoa Falls College 93-75 this evening in PC's Johnny Mize Athletic Center. Piedmont earned points from 10 different players and shot an impressive 50% from the field en route to victory.

Leading the way for the Lady Lions was Stephanie Rainwater (pictured) who led three teammates in double-figures with a career-high 18 points and four steals. Joanna Zipperer added 17 points including five three-pointers and Sheena Trimiar tallied 10 points and four steals.

Also contributing for the Lady Lions was Sarah Lane who added eight points and 10 rebounds and Beth Adcock who garnered six points and a career-high 11 assists. The Lady Lions recorded 43 rebounds including 20 offensive rebounds compared to their opponents 27 total rebounds.

PC extended the lead to a game-high 23 points at the 16:00 minute mark and entered the half with a 46-28 lead.

The Lady Lions move to 5-3 overall and will return to action again on Sunday, December 11th as they travel to Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL for a 2:00 tip-off.
