The Piedmont College women's basketball team was unable to handle the defense of visiting Emory University tonight as the Lady Lions were defeated 69-49 in PC's Johnny Mize Athletic Center. The Eagles never trailed in the game and shot 48% from the field.
Leading the way for PC was Beth Adcock who earned a team-high 15 points. Nikki Sosebee added 10 points and Sheena Trimiar contributed with 10 points and five steals.
After jumping out to a 20-10 lead at the 9:00 mark, Emory entered the half with a 35-22 lead. The Eagles led by as much as 27 before the Lady Lions went on a 7-0 run to finish the game.
Piedmont falls to 4-2 overall and will return to action again on Saturday, December 3rd as they travel to Great South Athletic Conference opponent Agnes Scott College in Decatur, GA. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00.
