Piedmont University welcomed J'ernai Argilagos as Assistant Volleyball Coach in August 2025.
Most recently, Argilagos served as a coach with Trinity Volleyball Academy in Jefferson, Georgia, where she led clinics for beginner and intermediate athletes with a focus on fundamentals, sportsmanship and confidence on the court. She also gained valuable leadership and management experience through multiple supervisory roles outside of athletics, including work in customer service and team development.
A former collegiate student-athlete, Argilagos competed for Wilmington University in Delaware, where she played two seasons of volleyball after an extensive eight-year career at the club and high school levels. Her experience as both a player and a coach has built a strong foundation in skill development, teamwork, and leadership that she now brings to the Lions program.
She is a 2025 graduate of the University of Georgia, earning her Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice. While at UGA, she was also active in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., serving as Social Action Co-Chair and organizing community service and civic engagement initiatives.
