    Assistant Athletic Trainer
Grayson Smith joined the Piedmont staff in the fall of 2025 as Assistant Athletic Trainer. Smith completed her master's of athletic training in May from the University of North Georgia. 

While completing her degree, Smith gained experience at the college level working at Truett McConnell in the spring of 2025 with the wrestling, men's volleyball and track and field programs. 

Truett McConnell was not her only collegiate stop during her clinicals as she also spent the spring of 2024 with Young Harris providing high quality treatment, thorough evaluations, and programmed rehabilitation exercises. She worked with the softball, baseball, lacrosse and tennis teams while with the Mountain Lions. 

Also during her collegiate clinicals, she spent time at White County High School and Habersham Central High School.

Smith earned her bachelor of science in kinesiology with a sports medicine concentration in 2023 from the University of North Georgia and her master's in athletic training from UNG in 2025. 

She is certified through the BOC and licensed as an Athletic Trainer.
