Courtney Ziemba enters her third season at Piedmont as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in the fall of 2021. Ziemba joined the Piedmont staff in the summer of 2019 after spending two seasons with Texas Lutheran University where she served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer.
In her first three seasons at Piedmont, Ziemba worked primarily with men's soccer and baseball while also adding swimming to her plate in 2020-21.
During her time working with Texas Lutheran University, Ziemba primarily covered Women’s Volleyball and Softball while assisting with healthcare services of all other sports. She was also a preceptor for their CAATE accredited athletic training program.
Ziemba also earned valuable experience while she was an undergrad student at Michigan State University covering football, men’s soccer and was the senior student for gymnastics. She also assisted with coverage of cross country, basketball and women’s soccer.
She has related experience through contract work including Texas Lutheran’s football spring conditioning and high school football camp as well as Austin Black’s rugby tournament and Team Six Volleyball Club’s high school camp.
Ziemba earned her bachelor of science in athletic training and kinesiology from Michigan State University in 2017. She added her master’s in athletic training from Texas State University in 2019.
Ziemba is certified through the BOC and licensed as an Athletic Trainer. A member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA), she is also CPR/AED certified.
