Biography

As a Senior (2014): Played in 102 sets over 30 matches…Led the team in points with a total of 293 points this season and an average of 2.87 points per set…Led the team in kills with a total of 244 kills this season and an average of 2.39 kills per set…Ranked 11th in the conference for kills per set…Earned a .263 total attack percentage…Ranked 8th in the conference for hitting percentage…Added 30 assists to her season numbers…One of the top players in digs on the team with 234 digs and 2.29 digs per set…Notched 46 total blocks with 8 block solos and 38 block assists…Double-digit numbers of kills for 12 matches this season…Scored a remarkable 20 points against Averett (10/11)…USA South All-Conference First Team recipient.

As a Junior (2013):  Perhaps Piedmont’s most dominant force at the net, Norman was in the top 10 of the USA South in both total attacks (858) and total kills (301) with both those numbers leading her team…Ranked 2nd in the USA South in block assists with 83 and 9th in solo blocks with 18…One of just six players in the league to collect more than 100 blocks in the 2013 season…9th best block per set average in league (0.75)…Accounted for more than 384 points on the season, leading the team in that column…2nd on the team with her .213 attack percentage…Placed 4th on the squad with her 56 assists, most amongst those not listed at the setting position for the Lady Lions…Also chipped in 24 service aces (5th Team)…253 digs, top 30 in USA South…Put up double-digit single-match kill totals on nine occasions…Also hit better than .300 11 times...Had one of her best performances on the season in a 3-2 thrilling win over Covenant posting 19 kills on 38 attempts with just one error on the evening…Honored as a USA South All-Conference selection with 2nd Team honors…Named to the USA South Academic All-Conference Team…Named a Capital One Academic All-American 2nd Team selection becoming just the third Piedmont student-athlete to earn that distinction.  

As a Sophomore (2012): Saw action in 33 matches posting 31 starts playing in 115 sets…Led the team in sets played (115), points (371.5), points per set (3.23), kills (301) and kills per set (2.62)...Ranked second in digs with 245…Posted a season-high of 17 kills vs. LaGrange (10/24)…USA South All-Sportsmanship team selection…USA South All-Conference Third team selection…USA South All-Academic selection.

As a Freshman (2011): Appeared in 35 matches playing in 108 sets…Ranked second on the team in kills (210) and kills per set (1.94)…Posted 12 service aces to go along with 48 blocks and 231 digs as a freshman...Great South Athletic Conference All-Freshman Team selection.

Prep & Personal: Born February 6th, 1993 to parents Ed and Hayden Norman…Has one sister, Kindler…2011 graduate of Westminster Christian Academy…Received either the Founder's Award (highest average in the class) or the Presidents’ Award (95 or better in a class) for every subject course taken from freshman to senior year…Salutatorian of graduating class…Also played Basketball in high school…Prepped under Coach Lisa Fish…Also played travel for Georgia Juniors …All-Region each of her four years in high school…Multiple Player of the Week awards…Three-time All-State performer…Jersey is retired at Westminster…Played in the All-Star game her sophomore and senior years…Offensive leader all four seasons…Now majoring in Biology at Piedmont.
