- The Lions will host defending CCS champ Belhaven University in a 1:00 pm showdown under the sun at Walker Athletic Complex on Saturday, September 26.  

TURNING POINT:
- Covenant's long distance strike in the second half brought the home team level at 1-1, the same score in which the game ended.  

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- The series between these two features three ties in the last four matches and the seven ties overall between the two is the most amongst any Piedmont women's soccer opponent. 
- The next closest opponent when it comes to ties in the series is of course another former conference foe in Maryville College who tied the Lions five times, but no other opponent has done so more than once. 

STANDOUT PERFORMANCES:
- Keira Ferrera's opening goal came less than five minutes into the game as she throttled home a cutback pass in the penalty box that gave the Lions a 1-0 lead that they would hold for about 50 minutes of action.
- The defensive effort by Piedmont overall as the Lions held the Scots to just the single score midway through the second half as Covenant had scored 12 goals through their first five games.
