WHAT'S UP NEXT:
- The Lions will make their home debut on Tuesday night, September 15 with a 6:00 pm tip off in Cave Arena with the evening also serving as Family Night on the promotional calendar.  

TURNING POINT:
- After Piedmont kept set one within a 5-point difference most of the first set in the Geneva match, the opponent was able to take control in the third set to earn a victory over the Lions.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Facing a stout Lynchburg team who moved to 7-0 on the year with their win over the Lions, Piedmont swung well with Alexandrea Dorman leading the way with a .294 attack percentage against a Hornets defense that posted 12 blocks in the match.
- Lillian Gaskins posted 15 total kills in the two matches on the day to lead the way for the Lions both times out.  

STANDOUT PERFORMANCES:
- Rylee Vessell was the story of the day defensively as she collected 15 digs against a fearsome Lynchburg attack that hit an impressive .390 in the match.  
- Vessell also picked up a standout 21 digs in the Geneva match to bring her weekend total to 84 on the weekend and 118 for the week.
