DEMOREST, Ga. - After yet another winning week, Piedmont baseball now finds itself in the top 25 of a pair of national polls.
Last week, the Lions made their debut in the ABCA National Poll with a ranking of No. 30, while they were receiving votes in the NCBWA/D3baseball poll.
The Lions then proceeded to go 3-1 over four games last week, taking a midweek home contest against Oglethorpe before taking 2-of-3 on the road against Asbury to move to 7-2 in the CCS and atop the conference standings.
As a result, Piedmont has vaulted up six spots in the ABCA poll to No. 24 and have broken into the D3baseball poll at No. 25.
Last week, the Lions debuted at No. 14 in the national NPI Rankings.
This marks the program's first entry into the D3baseball top 25 since March of 2023, when they also were ranked No. 25.
Up next, the Lions will host Brevard in a non-conference midweek showdown later this evening, with first pitch set for 6 p.m. at Loudermilk Field.
