ATLANTA, Ga. - The Piedmont baseball team earned the No. 1 seed in the CCS Conference Tournament beginning on Thursday, April 29th. Teams prepare to travel to Trustmark Park in Pearl, Miss. as Belhaven University will play host.

The Lions ran through the CCS this season with the Lion offense being the calling card. Piedmont dropped just one CCS series all season as the team reached as high as being nationally ranked for the first time since 2023. The regular season title marks the first for the Lions since 2019. A testament to the Lions offense and pitching, Piedmont boasted a +109 run differential for the regular season.

Piedmont is set to face the No. 6 seeded Asbury Eagles in the opening round of the tournament. In the regular season, Piedmont won the series against the Eagles including a run-rule victory in game two of the series.

Piedmont ended the season with a series win over Huntingdon where the offense and pitching were on full display including a run-rule victory in the regular season finale, scoring ten and shutting out the Hawks.
