DEMOREST, Ga. - On a day in which seniors Jordan Ballard and Sarah Row were honored as part of Senior Day, Piedmont women's tennis rolled to a 7-0 shutout of Belhaven on Friday afternoon in Demorest.

The Lions were dominant across doubles and singles, sweeping all three doubles matches and all six singles lines in clinical fashion.

With the Blazers only having five available players, Piedmont began doubles competition needing just one of the two contested matches to take the point. That point was found quickly, as Ella Kate Canaday and Caroline Morrison did not drop a game at No. 2. For good measure, the senior duo of Row and Ballard rolled to a 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles.

Leading 1-0 heading into singles, the Lions automatically picked up a point with a win by default at No. 6.

Then, as No. 1 through No. 3 singles took the court first, Piedmont needed just two wins. Kaleigh Stallworth cruised to a first set win and was leading the second when her opponent retired. That opened the door for the senior Ballard to deliver the clinch, and the Canton, Georgia native was there for the moment, winning 6-4, 6-1 to put the win in the bank for the Lions.

Brooklyn Bolch had to battle in a second set tiebreak, but ultimately prevailed, 6-2, 7-6 (4) at No. 2 to make it 5-0 Piedmont.

Row was one of the last two matches on and put an exclamation mark on the day with a perfect 6-0, 6-0 win, clinching her match just moments before Drea Robinson won her match, 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5 to close out the festivities.

Up next, the Lions will host Covenant tomorrow, March 28 with an 11 a.m. start time.

STANDOUT PERFORMANCES:

    - Ballard won the clinching match at No. 3 singles.
    - Row put on a clinical 6-0, 6-0 performance at No. 5 singles.
