DEMOREST, Ga. - Piedmont women's lacrosse dominated the Brevard Tornados on Tuesday, with Carson Bezold setting a new school record in single-game assists with 11.

The Lions opened the scoring quickly with Clara Welch finding the back of the net to start the night for Piedmont. The offensive onslaught continued throughout the quarter, scoring nine unanswered goals, with Carson Bezold assisting in five of them.

Piedmont kept the momentum in the second, with Savannah Limehouse scoring three goals in the quarter, giving the Lions a 16-0 lead going into halftime.

Bezold was the story of the night for Piedmont, collecting nine assists heading into the final quarter of play. With another attack brewing for the Lions, Bezold found the connection to Limehouse as she rattled the back of the cage for Piedmont's 21st goal of the game and Bezold's record-tying 10th assist of the evening. Just one goal shy of a new school record, Bezold and the Lions stormed back into Tornado territory, and Bezold once again found Limehouse for the game's 22nd goal and Bezold's 11th assist, putting her into the Piedmont record books.

The Lions scored two more goals to set a new season high in total goals and secure a conference win on Tuesday.

The Lions remain undefeated in the USA South as Bezold and the offense are in full stride.

Up next, the Lions will travel to Greensboro, N.C., for another conference matchup on Saturday, March 28, at 11:00 a.m.
