ATLANTA - Piedmont baseball freshman pitcher Drew O'Neill has been named the Collegiate Conference of the South Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.

O'Neill delivered a shut down performance in his last outing, earning a win and a shutout against Oswego State.
 

 

O'Neill continues to roll well on the season as the freshman put together another stellar outing.

Against Oswego State, O'Neill went eight strong innings against the Lakers, scattering five hits in the game. O'Neill picked up four strikeouts in the contest.

O'Neill allowed just one free base in his start, standing strong on the mound.

Up next, the Lions return to Demorest to face off against the Adrian College Bulldogs on Wednesday, March 4 at 6 p.m.
