ATLANTA - Piedmont baseball sophomore designated hitter
Carter Few has been named the Collegiate Conference of the South Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
This is the first time this season Few has won the award and it comes on the heels of his massively productive weekend.
Few was outstanding at the plate for the Lions across four games during the week.
Few went 13-16 overall, tallying at least three hits in every game played, and wrapped up the weekend with a three-game stretch where he collected four hits in each.
In the Lions' win over Oswego State, Few crushed a grand slam for Piedmont and finished the game with five RBIs. He followed up his performance against Owego with another five-RBI day against Immaculata.
Up next, the Lions return to Demorest to face off against the Adrian College Bulldogs on Wednesday, March 4 at 6 p.m.
