CCS Field Athlete of the Week: George Ketch

ATLANTA - Piedmont men's track and field junior George Ketch has been named the CCS Field Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday afternoon.

Ketch performed well in the Lions' outdoor debut for the 2026 season.

 


Ketch set a new Piedmont program record in the hammer throw at the Victor Ice Breaker Duals in Mount Berry, Georgia. The junior recorded a mark of 49.26m, finishing in third place at the meet, to surpass the previous school record. 
 

Up next, the Lions will set off to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for their Spring Break to compete in the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge March 13-14.
