JACKSON, MISS. — Piedmont dropped the final game of their weekend road trip to the Belhaven Blazers on Sunday by a final score of 122-90.
The Blazers jumped on the Lions early on with a 21-11 run out of the gate. The Lions would be significantly outpaced by the Belhaven offense as Piedmont could not find a stop to catch their breath. The Blazers closed out the half with a 12-5 run, bringing the score to 64-45 heading into the locker room.
The scoring onslaught wouldn't stop as the Blazers continued all throughout the second half as they finished the night with seven players with double digits, with Kam Beverly delivering 21 on his own.
Piedmont would fight their way to 90 points by game's end, but the damage was done as the Blazers came away with a 122-90 victory.
The Lions were led on the court by
Israel Hall, who tied all scorers with 21 points.
This concludes a tough weekend stretch for the Lions, who will look to get right at home for the remainder of the schedule with four straight home matchups.
Piedmont's next action will be Wednesday, Feb. 11th, against the Covenant Scots in Cave Arena with a 7:00 p.m. tip-off.
