SEASON PREVIEW: Women's Tennis 2026

The Piedmont women's tennis team is set to open its 2026 season away this weekend, traveling to Huntingdon at the George S. Gibbs Tennis Center in Montgomery, Alabama this Saturday, Feb. 7 at 2 p.m.

  • Piedmont is coming off its third CCS conference tournament final appearance, with conference championship wins in 2023 and 2024.
  • In the fall, the Lions sent Ella Kate Canaday, Caroline Morrison and Brooklyn Bolch to ITA Regionals where the three won four matches across doubles and singles action. 
  • Head Coach Trey Martin earned CCS Coach of the Year honors for the third straight season and became the winningest coach in Piedmont women's tennis history with a win over Pfeiffer in the 2024 fall season.
  • As Piedmont program record holder in career singles wins and combined wins Alyssa McSpadden graduated with the Most Outstanding Female Athlete Award in May 2025. The Lions look for who will rise to the challenge in the 2026 season.
  • The Lions aim to return to the CCS Conference Tournament Final for a championship win after falling to Asbury in the 2025 campaign.
