2025 Women's Tennis Senior Spotlight

These six seniors have been with the Lions for varying lengths of time, but all have contributed on and off the courts. Over the last four seasons, they have led Piedmont an 82-13 overall record and a perfect 23-0 conference record. The last three seasons have included regular season and tournament championships with an NCAA Tournament win as well. Off the court, they have combined for 14 Academic All-Conference appearances.

LIZZIE IVEY | HOSCHTON, GA.
Lizzie Ivey
Lizzie Ivey - Senior Spotlight

Ivey has appeared in 18 singles matches and 13 doubles matches in her two plus seasons with the Lions. She has picked up nine singles wins and five doubles victories. Last season, Lizzie won a career-best eight singles matches including a perfect 4-0 mark in dual singles matches. Off the court, she is a two-time Academic All-Conference selection and was an ITA Scholar Athlete in 2023. She plans to graduate in her third year with a degree in political science with a minor in religion and sociology.

Bri Laidman - Senior Spotlight

Laidman has played 52 singles matches and 68 doubles matches in almost three full seasons in Demorest. She sports a 25-6 career record in dual singles matches and is 36-10 in dual doubles matches. Bri is a two-time All-CCS perfomer and was named CCS Rookie of the Week three times in her debut season. Laidman has also been named to the CCS Doubles Team of the Week three times. In the 2023 CCS Tournament Final against Covenant, Bri won the clinching match to give Piedmont the trophy and earned All-Tournament Team honors. Off the court, she is a two-time Academic All-Conference performer and has been named an ITA Scholar Athlete. She plans to graduate with degrees in accounting and business analytics.

Lauryn Leslie
Lauryn Leslie - Senior Spotlight

Leslie came to Piedmont for the spring semester after transferring from Cedarville University. So far this season, she has appeared in six singles matches and three doubles matches. Lauryn has picked up three dual singles wins this spring and won her first career match in a Piedmont uniform, going to a third-set tiebreak to win at No. 3 against Truett McConnell. Leslie is currently pursuing her MBA at Piedmont.

ALYSSA MCSPADDEN | FLOWERY BRANCH, GA.
Alyssa McSpadden
Alyssa McSpadden - Senior Spotlight

One of the most prolific winners in Piedmont women’s tennis history, McSpadden currently owns the program career record for total singles wins and total combined wins. Alyssa has a 45-8 dual singles record and a 48-13 dual doubles record over her almost four seasons with the Lions. She is 3-for-3 in conference championships and was named CCS Tournament MVP in 2023. McSpadden is a three-time All-Conference performer and is a five-time CCS Player of the Week and 3x Doubles Team of the Week honoree. She is also a three-time Academic All-Conference member and an ITA Scholar Athlete. Alyssa plans to graduate with a degree in art education with a minor in accounting.

HOLLAN RABENSDORF | CUMMING, GA.
Hollan Rabensdorf
Hollan Rabensdorf - Senior Spotlight

Rabensdorf has played almost four seasons with the Lions, appearing in more than 30 singles matches and over 35 doubles matches. She has a fantastic dual record in both, going 9-3 in singles matches and owns an 11-5 dual doubles record. This season, she showcased her versatility, winning a doubles match and a singles match as the Lions picked up a 7-0 conference win at Belhaven. Off the court, she is a three-time Academic All-Conference member and an ITA Scholar Athlete. Hollan plans to graduate with a degree in applied health science with a minor in chemistry.

Dannie Evans - Senior Spotlight

Lastly, we would like to shout out Dannie Evans, who returned to the team for a fifth playing season while pursuing her MBA at Piedmont.

After earning a spot on the CCS All-Tournament Team during Piedmont’s championship run last season, Evans has returned and continued to thrive, as she is currently a perfect 6-0 in dual singles matches and is 6-1 in dual doubles matches.
