Israel Hall Scores Career High as Lions Power Past Warren Wilson 120-96

DEMOREST, GA—The Piedmont men's basketball team roared back into the win column with a 120-96 victory in non-conference action versus the Warren Wilson Owls.

The headliner of this game for the Lions was none other than Israel Hall, who has led the team on the court this season as he continues his breakout junior season.

The Lions held control from the first minute of the game after a made three-pointer by Hall, and there was no looking back from then. Warren Wilson looked to stay in the contest as they made the most of their chances both from the field and at the line, shooting 50.0 and 81.8 percent, respectively, but the Lions bested that with a 65.6 FG% and a scoring onslaught in the first half. With performances not only from Hall but also from Fisher Darden and Dylan Patrick, they steered this game in Piedmont's direction as they led 57-44 at the half.

The fast-paced action picked right back up in the second half as the squads continued to find the bottom of the net, but Piedmont would be the better of the two this evening.

Hall's career night included three electrifying dunks that boosted the momentum for the Lions to a fever pitch as the junior finished with 28 points and seven rebounds—both of which led the team.

Piedmont finished out the game with an impressive 25-point run, completing the sweep of the Owls with a 120-96 final.

The Lions showed the potential of their offense Tuesday evening, and they will look to put it to practice in conference action when they face the Huntingdon Hawks Saturday, Jan. 10th, in Cave Arena at 4:00 p.m.

- A 15-6 run towards the end of the first half that created all the separation the Lions would need.

- Darden continued his good play as the senior put up 26 points in the victory.
