ATLANTA - After a 4-0 weekend on the road to start the season, Piedmont women's soccer earned well deserved recognition as the Collegiate Conference of the South released its first weekly awards of the 2025 season Wednesday.

Savannah Jerome was named Offensive Player of the Week while freshman
Megan Gates was honored with Rookie of the Week.

Taking home the first weekly award of her outstanding career, Jerome led the Lions with three goals over the team's first four games, including scoring two in the team's 12-0 win at Trinity Washington to open the season. The Mooresville, North Carolina native added on another goal in a 4-0 win at Regent the next day.

Gates enjoyed a fantastic debut as a Lion, scoring two goals and adding an assist in the team's 12-0 win at Trinity Washington to open the season. Gates' performance helped the Lions achieve their first 4-0 start to a season since 2015.
Up next, the Lions will open the home schedule this Friday, September 5 at 7 p.m. against Oglethorpe followed by Senior Day Saturday afternoon against Pfeiffer at 4:30 p.m. with Senior Day festivities prior to the contest.
