MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Piedmont women's tennis began its 2025 fall season this past weekend, competing at the Huntingdon Invitational in Montgomery, Alabama.
Overall, 16 different Lions competed, combining for 15 singles victories and five more doubles victories.
The group was highlighted by some outstanding play from newcomer
Halee Harper and sophomore
Sarah Sanabia, with both going a perfect 2-0 in singles matches for the weekend.
Junior
Brooklyn Bolch also had an impressive showing, with a 2-1 singles mark.
Sophomore
Emily Gonzalez and freshman
Kaleigh Stallworth each won both of their doubles matches, one of which playing as a duo.
Stallworth joined Harper,
Ella Kate Canaday, Karen Sanchez-Castillo and
Annalia Small in picking up their first career singles victories as Lions.
Overall, 12 different Lions picked up a singles win and eight different Lions nabbed a doubles victory.
Up next, the Lions will be back at home, hosting the Piedmont Invitational, beginning this Friday, Sept. 12 and running through Saturday, Sept. 13.
