BREVARD, N.C. - Piedmont women's soccer was unable to find a goal in a 2-0 road loss at Brevard Wednesday evening.
The Tornados were able to score once in each half and hold the Lions off the scoreboard to take the victory.
Piedmont was able to increase its offensive pressure in the second half, but Brevard was up to the task on the defensive side.
Although Brevard held a 24-6 shot advantage throughout the game, it was only a 6-3 edge in shots on target.
Savannah Jerome led the Lions with two total shots with one on goal while
Molly Fitzpatrick and
Paige Kluba delivered the other shots on target for the Lions.
Maggie Leger made three saves in the loss for Piedmont.
Up next, the Lions will have over a week off from competition before returning to action next Sunday, Sept. 21 at Maryville, which kicks off the team's conference schedule.
