NEW ORLEANS, La - In addition to a trip to the NCAA Division III National Championship this week, Piedmont's
Silas Goolsby earned All-Region honors as announced Tuesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top-3 ranked relay team.
Goolsby earns his USTFCCA honor in the men's 200m. Following a 21.10 at the Electric City Invitational, he won the Collegiate Conference of the South title with a time of 21.71. His 21.10 was good to qualify for his first berth at the NCAA Division III National Championship.
This marks the second career All-Region honor for Goolsby as he earned all-region status in the 110m hurdles a season ago.
