SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The Piedmont University women's golf team concluded the USA South Championship Wednesday claiming second place by a single stroke over Methodist.
Erin Donovan finished second individually just three strokes off the leader.
Donovan shot a 73 in the final round as she birdied twice on the front nine and had just a single bogey on the back. She finished four over for the tournament with a three round total of 220.
Both
Abigail Evans and
Keegan Goins shot an 81 in the final round with Evans ending tied for 10th with
Sarah Fox. Fox shot an 85 in the final round but was able to stay inside the top-10.
Goins made a birdie on five while Fox made a birdie on 16 as the Lions totaled four in the final round.
Marissa Weaver tied her round one total with a 92 on the final day.
As a team, Huntingdon won the event with a 908 team total and Yvette Gorden took the individual title by three strokes with a 74 in the final round.
