GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Piedmont men's lacrosse team ended the year strong with a an 18-12 win over Greensboro on the road Saturday.
Greensboro was limited in the first half but they were first on the board with a goal just over five minutes into the contest. The Lions then answered with seven straight, taking a 6-1 lead into the second period.
The Pride added two in the second but the Lions raced ahead with nine total goals in the second period to take a 15-3 lead into the second half.
Though the contest felt decided from that point, Greensboro was able to tack on three goals in the third and six in the fourth to outscore Piedmont 9-3 in the second half.
Despite a late rally by the Pride, Piedmont was able to take the victory though they surrendered six goals in the final period.
Up next, the Lions will await the USA South tournament.

- The Lions took a 15-3 lead into halftime and held on for the win despite giving up nine goals in the second half.
STANDOUT PERFORMANCES:

Miller Buice scored four goals as did
Ian Parr to pace the team.

Trey Tuggle made nine saves in the 20:00 of play he earned in the second half.
