MT. BERRY, Ga. - Piedmont track and field competed in its second outdoor event of the 2025 season and the first that also included track events on Saturday in Mt. Berry, Georgia.
Making his 2025 outdoor debut,
Silas Goolsby had an outstanding day for the Lions, winning an event and setting a new school record in a separate one.
Goolsby crossed the line first in the 400m, finishing first in a race that included 20 participants. His time of 49.24 has been beaten just twice in Piedmont history, with one coming from Goolsby himself in 2024.
His great day continued with a fourth place finish in the 200m, but his time of 21.74 set a new program mark, beating the previous record set by Julian Hazen in 2021.
On the men's distance side,
Walker Capelle continued his trend of finishing first in long races, delivering the top spot with a time of 33:22.91 in the 10,000m.
One week after taking home a win in the discus,
Allie Feltus delivered a third place finish with a toss of 36.28m, bettering her winning toss from last week.

Tucker Pulliam also coming in fourth on the men's side (3.38m).
