SEWANEE, Tenn. - Piedmont women's tennis lost for just the second time this season, falling at the hands of No. 20 Sewanee 7-0 on the road Saturday afternoon.

The Tigers were able to win all three doubles matches in decisive fashion to take a 1-0 lead, before winning all six singles lines in straight sets to quickly clinch the match.

Sewanee was dominant across the three doubles lines, allowing Piedmont to win just one game across the three matches.

Singles play saw the Lions able to be most competitive at the No. 1 spot, as Lauryn Leslie took four games in the first set and two more in the second.

In the other five matches, the Tigers won in clinical fashion to clinch quickly.

Up next, the Lions will await a showdown with Asbury, scheduled for next Saturday, April 5 at 11 a.m.
