LaGRANGE, Ga. - Piedmont men's lacrosse opened the USA South conference slate Tuesday with a 19-3 win at LaGrange. The Lions were led by
Isaac Harrington with eight points as he scored four goals and added four assists.
It was goalie by committee for the Lions as
Mike Eisele earned the start playing the first half allowing just one goal with three saves before giving way to
Phillip Bell. Bell saw action through much of the third quarter before
Trey Tuggle was subbed in.
Bell posted four saves while Tuggle added one then
Logan Hoenig closed out the contest in the final nine minutes of action with one goal allowed and four saves.
Piedmont started hot and never let up as the game was tied at 1-1 before the Lions reeled off 15 unanswered to lead 16-1. The Panthers managed to score twice in the fourth period as Nicholas Murciano was responsible for all three Panthers goals.
The Lions had 11 goal scorers in the contest with six posting multi-goal games though none had more than three led by Harrington and
Ian Parr.
Up next, the Lions will return home to face Methodist on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the WAC.

STANDOUT PERFORMANCES:

Ian Parr and
Isaac Harrington led the way offensively as Parr posted three goals while Harrington led in points with four goals and four assists.

- This marks the sixth year in a row the Lions have opened conference play with a victory.
