WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Piedmont's track and field teams competed as split squads on Saturday with a portion of the team at the JDL Last Chance Invitational. The Lions saw several top-10 performances among competition across all levels.
Piedmont's 4x400m relay teams on both the men's and women's side finished second while Piedmont had a pair of track top-10 finishes and three in field events.
On the track,
Layton Bradford took fifth in the men's 5000m (16:16.61) while
Silas Goolsby earned sixth in the men's 400m (51.36). On the women's side
Bella Caccamo set a personal best in the 800m while moving into third place all-time in the Piedmont indoor record book running a 2:28.64.
In the men's long jump,
Bryant Murray earned fifth with a 6.42m mark while
Garrett Stadler took sixth in the men's high jump with a 1.75m.
Johnny Taylor claimed seventh in the triple jump with a 12.59m.
