In an otherwise evenly played game, the Lions used a 22-6 second quarter advantage to jump ahead by double digits and never looked back.

The teams went back-and-forth throughout the opening quarter until Kennedi Henson buried a three-pointer on Piedmont's final possession of the quarter to give the Lions a 19-18 edge going to the second.

After the Scots made a mini-run to knot the score at 24-all with 6:50 remaining in the first half, Piedmont erupted with a 17-0 run to end the first half, punctuated by a trio of Scott three-pointers.

Piedmont led by as many as 19 points early in the second half, the Scots were able to crawl within single digits but not able to threaten the lead.
