DEMOREST, Ga. - For the second consecutive Wednesday night, Piedmont women's soccer delivered a 1-1 home draw, this time against the Brevard Tornados.
The Lions struck first once again, early in the second half, However, the Tornados were able to equalize in the 77th minute and neither side found the game winner in the late moments.
Haylee Dornan was rock solid in goal for the Lions, coming up with a season-high 10 saves to help keep Brevard from adding more goals to the tally.
The first half saw relatively even possession, with the Tornados holding an 8-3 shot advantage at the halftime break.
Piedmont picked up the pace in the second half, and eventually found the back of the net after a beautiful ball played in by
Christina Sierra that was put away by
Sierra Judson to give the Lions the lead.

Unfortunately, almost 25 minutes later, Brevard's Brennan Howell unleashed a blast from outside the box to the top left corner and into the back of the net.
Dornan came up with a few more clutch saves down the stretch to keep the game level and that was where it ended.
Up next, the Lions will take to the road for a pair of games this weekend, first battling Meredith this Friday, September 13 at 6 p.m.
