Men's Track & Field Sends Group to Compete at Mount Union Last Chance

ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Piedmont University men's track and field program traveled a small group to the Mount Union Last Chance meet on Thursday afternoon in hopes of improving their season-best times in order to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Championships at the end of May.

Senior Chris Donsereaux and junior Zane Smith competed in the men's 200m dash, with Donsereaux cracking the top ten with tenth place finish (22.14). Smith followed behind in 21st with a PR of 23.44.

Narrowly breaking his school record for the second meet in a row, senior Gary Halverson captured fourth in the men's 1500m with a time of 3:55.00. After breaking the school record at the CCS Championships last time out, his time at Mount Union was just .15 seconds short of setting a new record.

Competing in the men's 400m, senior Garrett Stadler placed seventh with a time of 56.30.

Sophomore Silas Goolsby posted a 16.33 in the men's 110m hurdles prelims.

The team of Goolsby, Donsereaux, Smith and Stadler finished fifth in the men's 4x400m relay, running a 3:23.30.
