ATLANTA - Piedmont men's soccer saw four athletes earn CCS All-Conference honors, as the league released its potseason awards Wednesday evening as the Lions are just underway in their first round matchup at Asbury.
One year after being named CCS Rookie of the Year,
Davis Knight's outstanding sophomore follow up campaign was rewarded with All-CCS First Team honors.
Piedmont also had the field mostly covered on the second team, with
Colin Vogel earning honors as a forward,
Jason Aussin earning a spot in the midfield and
Delroy Mattis holding down the back line.
This marks the first All-Conference honors in the careers of Aussin and Mattis while Vogel has now earned a spot in all three seasons of his career.

Standout Performances: Knight tallied a career-high four goals in Piedmont's 6-0 rout at Warren Wilson. He also added a pair of goals in another 4-0 rout at Toccoa Falls.
Jason Aussin, All-CCS Second Team (Midfielder)

Points: 17 (2nd on team, T-5th in CCS)
Goals: 8 (2nd on team, T-3rd in CCS)
Penalty Kick Goals: 3
Game-Winning Goals: 2
Standout Performances: Played a pivotal role in Piedmont's 4-0 start to the season, scoring in three games in a row. Scored three times to help the Lions escape Asbury with a 4-3 conference-opening victory on September 30.
Delroy Mattis, All-CCS Second Team (Defender)
BY THE NUMBERS:

Goals: 1
Assists: 1
Standout Performances: Assisted on the equalizing goal in the 85th minute of Piedmont's comeback win over Greenville. Tallied lone goal of the season in 4-0 win at Toccoa Falls.

Standout Performances: Vogel tallied either a goal or an assist in each of Piedmont's first five contests of the season (4-1 record). He scored the first goal of the game in Piedmont's 2-1 victory at Huntingdon.
