2024 Volleyball Senior Spotlight

These three seniors have helped guide the Lions to 29 total wins including 25 conference victories across the USA South and the Collegiate Conference of the South. This group has earned 12 victories during their career in front of the home crowd here in Cave Arena. Last season, the Lions recorded an 11-5 mark in conference play, the best conference record of their career.

Vanessa Manzo

Manzo has been a four-year player for the Lions as a setter appearing in 84 matches in her career. Last season, Manzo posted her best totals as the primary setter for the Lions with a career-high 863 assists along with 91 kills. She enters tonight’s match with 400 assists this season and over 1500 in her career. Her career-high in assists came in 2023 when she posted 49 assists in a 3-2 win against Berea here inside Cave Arena. She earned second team all-conference honors last season and is a two-time all-academic team selection. Vanessa plans to graduate in the spring of 2025 with a degree in sports communications and psychology.

Bryn White

White has appeared in 26 matches over her career with the Lions, appearing in a career-high 14 matches so far this season. She has a career-high 16 kills and 34 digs this season including seven kills against Greensboro over opening weekend. In that match, she also totaled six service aces. White posted a career-high nine digs at Wesleyan earlier this season and has totaled five blocks in her career. She is a two-time CCS all-academic team selection and plans to graduate in the spring of 2025 with a degree in political science and psychology.

#22 JESSICA SCONYERS | MB | ORLANDO, FL.
Jessica Sconyers

Sconyers has been a threat at the net in all four seasons with the Lions as she has over 500 kills in her career, with more than 100 each year. She is a four-year player for the Lions having appeared in 99 matches over her career. She totaled a career-high 186 kills as a junior a year ago but her career-high came just this past weekend as she posted 12 kills against Belhaven. She is a three-time conference all-academic team member and earned CSC Academic All-District honors a season ago. Jessica plans to graduate in the spring of 2025 with a degree in sports and mass communications.
