In Memory Sid Feldman

Sid Feldman, former Piedmont head volleyball coach from 2009-2015, passed away earlier this week on March 18, 2025.

Feldman built an illustrious volleyball coaching career within the state of Georgia including being the first head coach at the University of Georgia.

Sid was an exceptional coach and developer of young minds. Not only was he skilled in volleyball, but the way he impacted his student-athletes overall was life-changing. Those of us who served alongside him were better for it.

Sid Feldman's Piedmont Retirement Announcement from 2015
The height of my coaching career happened at Piedmont when we had three players receive Academic All-District from CoSIDA with one of those going on be named a two-time Academic All-American. I think that's what athletics at the collegiate level is supposed to be about.
