LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. - Piedmont women's soccer played Covenant to a scoreless draw on a beautiful fall Saturday on Lookout Mountain.

The result moves both teams to an identical 4-1-1 CCS record as the conclusion of the conference season approaches.

It was an even contest throughout as Covenant held a slight advantage in total shots (11-9) while the Lions delivered a 5-3 edge in shots on target.

Piedmont did threaten multiple times in the first half, but Covenant goalkeeper Bronwyn Kickasola delivered four saves in the opening half.

Hannah Thompson stood strong in her second straight start, making three saves.

Piedmont saw 20 players appear in the contest and the five shots on goal were spread out with no player having more than one.

This marks the third consecutive regular season meeting that has ended in a scoreless draw between the teams.

Up next, the Lions will return home and host LaGrange this coming Wednesday, October 23 at 7 p.m.

STANDOUT PERFORMANCES:
- After allowing three goals in Thursday's loss at Asbury, the Piedmont defense stood up on Saturday, delivering its third shutout of the season in CCS play.
