DEMOREST, Ga. - The Piedmont University women's soccer team coasted to an 8-1 win over Wesleyan Tuesday in the CCS opener to move to 1-0 in conference play.
SIERRA JUDSON led the way for Piedmont with a hat trick, including two goals in the opening five minutes of play.
The onslaught continued after Judson's pair as
HALEY RIZZO added a goal in the 12' with
PAIGE KLUBA earning the assist on all three goals to that point. Kluba ended the night with five assists.
EMMA WILLIAMS banked a rocket of a shot in the 26' to put Piedmont ahead 5-0 at the break.
The Wolves were able to tack on one in the second half but Piedmont kept the offense kicking with three goals of their own by
CHLOE SPRADLIN,
ASHLEY STILL and
JOCELYN MASEDA. For all three Lions who scored in the second half, it was their first goal of the season.
Up next, the Lions will be on the road for another CCS matchup taking on Belhaven at 6 p.m. Saturday, September 23.

--In total, Piedmont took 42 shots to Wesleyan's two.
--Wesleyan's Angel Lockett recorded 17 saves in the contest.
