ATLANTA, Ga. - WHITNEY DARSEY and
SILAS GOOLSBY both received weekly honors, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon.
Darsey was named CCS Field Athlete of the Week on the women's side, following her performance at the Hub-City Invitational. She placed 10th in the women's hammer with a distance of 36.33m. This marks the first award for the freshman from Bethlehem, Ga.
Goolsby was named CCS Rookie of the Week on the men's side, following his performance at the Lee Flames Invitational. He placed just outside the top 10 in the men's 110m hurdles with a 16.04m. He also placed in the top 20 in the 400m hurdles, running a 59.79. This is the first time the freshman has been honored by the conference.
Piedmont track and field will be back in action on Friday, April 14. at the Berry Field Day Invitational.
