LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. - The Piedmont women's tennis team rolled past CCS foe Covenant Saturday with a 9-0 win on the road.
With the win, Piedmont moves to 3-0 in conference play and 12-1 on the season.
Doubles finished in order as
IMANI VINCENT and
BRI LAIDMAN made quick work at No. 1 with an 8-1 victory.
ALYSSA MCSPADDEN and
ABBEY GRACE VENHAM kept up the momentum with an 8-2 win at No. 2 while
MARION SLOYAN and
DAKOTA WILKES completed the sweep with an 8-4 win at No. 3.
Needing just two singles lines to take the match, Sloyan got the job done at No. 3 6-2, 6-3 to open the door for
IMANI VINCENT to clinch at No. 2.
Vincent won 6-4, 6-0 to move to 11-2 in singles this spring.
ABBEY GRACE VENHAM won 6-2, 6-4 at No. 1 while
ALYSSA MCSPADDEN nearly made it a clean sweep at No. 5 with a 6-0, 6-1 win.
DAKOTA WILKES won 6-0, 6-3 at No. 4 and
BRI LAIDMAN claimed a 6-0, 7-5 win at No. 6 to close out the day.
Up next, the Lady Lions will be in action at Sewanee Sunday.
