ORLANDO, Fla. - The Piedmont women's tennis team continued its winning ways, as it kicked off its Orlando Spring Break Trip with a 9-0 sweep of Baldwin Wallace on  Sunday afternoon.
The Lady Lions swept all three doubles lines, with two coming in dominant fashion after a win by default at No. 3.
The domination continued into singles play, as the Lady Lions won by default at No. 6 with Baldwin Wallace only having five available players.
Needing just one singles win to clinch the match, 
BROOK PATTON was up to the task at No. 5, clinching at 5-0 for Piedmont early in the festivities with a 6-2, 6-1 victory.
From there, the Lady Lions polished off the sweep with more solid play from newcomers and veterans alike. Freshman 
JORDAN BALLARD delivered an incredible 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 4 singles before the rest of the squad also recorded straight set wins.
MARION SLOYAN rolled to a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 2 while reigning CCS Rookie of the Week 
BRI LAIDMAN lost just one game in a 6-1, 6-0 triumph at No. 2.
Finally, junior 
ABBEY GRACE VENHAM completed the shutout with a 7-5, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles.
Up next, Piedmont will be back in action early Monday morning for the first of two matches. The Lions will battle Schreiner at 8 a.m. before taking on Immaculata at 11:30 a.m.

BRI LAIDMAN picked up a doubles win and singles win, winning at No. 3 singles while teaming up with 
IMANI VINCENT for an 8-1 victory at No. 1 doubles.
