DEMOREST, Ga. -
KAITLYN HOUSE,
IMANI VINCENT and
DAKOTA WILKES were honored for Senior Day as the Piedmont women's tennis team delivered another dominant performance in a 9-0 win on Saturday afternoon over Berea.
The Lady Lions were superior from start to finish as they did not drop a single game across the three doubles lines and then lost just three total games across the six singles lines in their second straight 9-0 home win to start conference play.
The three seniors played a role in each of the three doubles matches with Vincent teaming with
BRI LAIDMAN for an 8-0 win at No. 1. That 8-0 score was matched across the board as Wilkes partnered with
ABBEY GRACE VENHAM to win at No. 2 while House and
MARION SLOYAN completed the doubles sweep with a rout at No. 3.
Singles action saw four Lady Lions not drop a single game as Venham, Vincent, Wilkes and freshman
SARAH ROW were perfect with Vincent earning the clinching victory.
Sophomore
MIA VASHER picked up a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 4 singles while House delivered her first dual singles win of the spring, rolling 6-0, 6-1 at No. 6.
Â
Up next, the Lady Lions are scheduled to host Truett McConnell in Demorest this Monday, March 27 at 2 p.m.
