LaGRANGE, Ga. - The Piedmont men's basketball team was unable to take a road contest Tuesday evening falling 74-61 to LaGrange. The Panthers take the season series with a pair of victories over the Lions.
It was a tight game in the first half, despite LaGrange building as much as an 11 point lead with 4:30 to go till the half. Piedmont was able to chip away at it and trailed 35-29 at the break after an
ORRY CLEMENTS-OWENS 3-pointer heading into halftime.
WILL RICHTER connected on a 3-pointer to start the second half and pulled the Lions within three points, 35-32. The Lions tied the game at 41 with 14:44 remaining but Piedmont was unable to ever claim the lead in the second half.
The Panthers went on an 11-0 run midway through the second half and kept the Lions from making a comeback.
The Lions will be in action at home twice this weekend beginning with Covenant on Friday evening at 7 p.m.
TURNING POINT:
--Three-pointers helped the Panthers to the victory as they banked nine from deep while Piedmont had just five 3-pointers in the game.

RYAN JOLLY led Piedmont with 16 points and nine rebounds while also adding five steals.
