DECATUR, Ga. - The Piedmont women's tennis team rolled past Agnes Scott for a 9-0 road victory on Thursday evening in Decatur.

The win marks the third straight 9-0 conference road win for the Lady Lions, who now sit at 17-3 on the season with only one loss against a Division III opponent.

As Agnes Scott only had five available players, the Lady Lions took No. 3 doubles by default, starting the match up 1-0 before a single point was played.

When the action began in doubles, Piedmont established control and never let up, on its way to a pair of easy wins. IMANI VINCENT and DANNIE EVANS played together for the first time, with an 8-1 win at No. 2 before ABBEY GRACE VENHAM and RACHEL MARSH completed the doubles sweep with an 8-2 victory at No. 1.

Already leading 3-0, the Scotties lost by default at No. 6, meaning Piedmont needed just one singles line to clinch the match.

That match came from DAKOTA WILKES, who was a perfect 6-0, 6-0 winner at No. 3 singles.

All five singles lines that were contested were won in straight sets by the Lady Lions, as they lost only four total games.

Venham prevailed 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 while Marsh did the same at No. 4.

TYLER PERRY picked up a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 5 before Vincent closed out the festivities and completed the shutout with a 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 2.

Up next, the Lady Lions will head to Montgomery, Alabama for their fourth consecutive road match to begin conference play. Piedmont is scheduled to take on Huntingdon at 2 p.m. (ET) this Saturday, April 2.

TURNING POINT:
- The Lady Lions established control in doubles, going up 3-0 with a pair of easy wins and a default win at No. 3.
