BEREA, Ky. - The Piedmont women's soccer team closed out its conference slate in style, rolling past Berea for a 3-0 road victory on Saturday afternoon in Kentucky.

Junior MADDY PARRIS was the star for the Lady Lions, scoring two of Piedmont's three goals, including the game-winner. Freshman SAVANNAH JEROME capped the scoring in the second half, continuing her outstanding debut campaign.

Sophomore goalkeeper HAYLEE DORNAN made six more saves, playing most of the contest before giving way to freshman MAGGIE LEGER in the final minutes.

The game was scoreless for much of the first half, until Parris was able to net her first career goal with under 30 seconds to play in the first half.

It turned out that was all the Lady Lions needed, as they delivered their third consecutive 3-0 shutout in CCS play.

Piedmont tacked on an insurance goal early in the second half, as Parris continued her scoring run with her second goal in just over seven minutes of game time.

Jerome, fresh off a CCS Rookie of the Week nod on Monday, tacked on her third goal of the season, removing all doubt in the 76th minute.

Up next, the Lady Lions will conclude its regular season campaign with a nonconference showdown at Asbury this Monday, Oct. 24 at 4 p.m.

TURNING POINT:
- Parris' first two career goals proved to be the difference as the junior from Hampton, Georgia scored at the end of the first half and the beginning of the second half.

STANDOUT PERFORMANCES:
- Parris scored twice while Jerome scored for the second time in the last three contests.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- The Lady Lions held a 19-11 shot advantage for the game.
