DECATUR, Ga. – In thrilling come-from-behind fashion, the Piedmont volleyball team won 3-2 at Agnes Scott Tuesday. The Lady Lions trailed 2-1 and were down in the fourth set before rallying to take the fourth and fifth sets. 

The Lady Lions fell behind 1-0 after a 25-19 decision in the first but claimed the second set 25-20. The two would trade sets again with the Scotties taking the third 25-22 before Piedmont won the fourth 25-23. The Lady Lions scored the final four points of the set. 

The fifth set was all Piedmont as the Lady Lions dominated for a 15-5 win to take the match 3-2. Piedmont led 7-4 in the fifth and reeled off an 8-1 run to close out the match with a TAYLOR HERRMANN service ace ending it all.

BRI KING led Piedmont with 10 kills followed by HANNAH KATE CHADWELL with seven and JESSICA SCONYERS adding six. JENNIFER HERRERA led Piedmont with 17 assists and also contributed 17 digs. Herrmann tallied 21 digs to lead Piedmont defensively while Sconyers was a threat at the net with four blocks. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
--Piedmont rallied in the fourth set to knot the set at 23-all before claiming the set and forcing the deciding fifth. 

STANDOUT PERFORMANCES:
--Piedmont was led by BRI KING who posted 10 kills in the match as Piedmont totaled 34 kills. 

UP NEXT:
--The Lady Lions will be on the road this weekend for a tri-match facing Berea and Wesleyan in Macon, Georgia.
