DEMOREST, Ga. – Piedmont women's soccer coach Timmy McCormack has announced the hiring of Stephanie Lamm as assistant women's soccer coach. Lamm joins the Piedmont staff after a graduate assistant position at Rockford University in Illinois from 2019-2021.
Lamm spent two seasons as a graduate assistant coach at Rockford University helping organize daily practice plans and player activity, creating scouting reports and assisted with all aspects of the recruiting process. During her time in Rockford, Illinois, she also served as a rehab aid at Athletico Physical Therapy.
"I am thrilled to join the Lions coaching staff," Lamm said. "Coach McCormack has created a dynamic program with amazing culture and I look forward to being a part of the family."
Before making the move to Illinois, Lamm served as the JV Head Coach and Assistant High School Soccer Coach at Jefferson High School. She attended and coached at all home and away games and assisted with practice plans and player management.
"We are delighted to have Stephanie joining our coaching staff this coming fall," McCormack said. "Her collegiate playing background coupled with her Division III coaching experience will provide our program with a voice that fits the culture of Piedmont University. She has a strong desire to win, and that competitive nature will serve her well in a program that expects to win each time it steps on the field. We are ready to get to work and defend our conference championship from last season."
Lamm was a member of the Emmanuel Lions in nearby Franklin Springs, Georgia from 2014-2017 playing forward. She started in 56 games over her career including all 20 as a senior. She tallied 11 goals in her career with seven coming in her senior season in 2017.
The forward had one of the best games of her career against King University scoring three of the Lions' five goals in a 5-1 win on the road.
Lamm is a 2018 graduate of Emmanuel College with a bachelor's degree in Sports Management. She completed her master's of arts in teaching at Rockford in 2021 and will assist McCormack in all facets of the Lions soccer program.
